That Jurassic 5 logo needs to be replaced by

 

Ender Sai Probably not. I'd also put these ahead of it:

 

A band called Chicago would absolutely need a striking, memorable logo.
Otherwise, what are they going to put on their posters when they play in Chicago? It would be too confusing.

Similarly

 

Their music is hit or miss, but that logo has endured.

both are great. there are many crappier logos on that list to bump. that said, i've never identified zappa with a logo.

 

I was purely talking about logos... Jurassic-5's logo is kinda meh, in my opinion.

I don't think he had one when he was alive. The facial hair logo, I'm pretty sure, was created after his death (by Gail Zappa, and the Zappa Family Trust), as a sort of tribute. It's on licensed Zappa merchandise (t-shirts, etc) and reissued music now.

 

Yeah I meant logo wise, not musically. Apples and cheese or something.

Seeing J5 live again though, after the breakup and seeing them maybeeeee 2002 (before Power in Numbers came out and waaaay before they did a song with Dave ****ing Matthews) and all that... so good. Even though the 2014 show was basically an audience of 40ish (give or take 5 years either side) white guys complaining about their knees hurting after.

But I mean. They did a song with Dave Matthews. You can't just wash that away.

Yes, The Burning Red was a tragic misstep but Burn My Eyes, More Things Change, Ashes of Empire, Blackening etc were great albums.

 

I've never listened to them to be honest, but the logo itself is good.

no i agree, but there are like ten to fifteen logos on that list that i find even more meh.

 

The Streets one is clever, but iconic? Beautiful? Etc?

Someone earlier posted Dead Kennedy's logo. That was another really strong logo. I loved writing that on my homework in Jr. High to the constant dismay of my Science teacher. The anarchy one upset him more though.
