Icons Thread Version 3.0: Attack of the Icons

OK, everyone. You may need to Refresh your browser, but here is the updated list. Once again, the ones highlighted in RED are the ones tagged for upload. Please share your thoughts.

Excellent choices, G-S!

Personally I prefer this Tikkes icon to the one you selected, but that's just a matter of preference. There's nothing wrong with the icon you chose. The rest of the selected icons (including Luminara) look great, IMO.

 

Oppo and the B-Wing are AMAZING, and I like the Dooku as well.

Some of the rest (both tagged for upload and not tagged for upload) I personally don't see the need to have at all, but then I'm more of a traditional-characters icons kind of guy.

GS I believe the first Embrace icon is clearer.

 

I will go with the other "Tikkes" and the first "Embrace". Any other comments?

 

Few things...

1): Call me biased, but isn't my Oppo a better choice? The other one looks to dark and "muddy".
2) We don't need another Dooku.
3) The current Kaadu icon is great. Do we need another one that is of less quality?
4) May i suggest *my* Ric Olie?
5) We already have a Lake Retreat Icon, and a very nice one as well.

I of course, am biased on some points so I would be interested in what others think.

EDIT: I see I am too late...

 

A couple of notes...

That will the last Dooku for a while, but remember, we have around 20 Padme icons.

This is the only Kaadu icon loaded.

The Oppo was tough, but this one is closer and more clear.

The Lake Retreat is ok, different shot, different scene, totally different icon.

The final duel was really tough. Matter of fact, each and every one submitted was outstanding. I had to choose one. I chose the one that showed the most and looked the best on different monitor resultions. A tough choice.

The other Ric was just more clear in the face.

And lastly, I held off on loading the "Embrace" icon. I am getting lots of different feedback and I want everyone in here to choose. A or B?

Lil_Lisa, your Padme is very nice, but the other one isn't bad. I can't decide which one is better.

The Embrace icon - I prefer B

And I like Lil_Lisa's Padmé more than the original one - the lighter background makes it much nicer.

And talking of replacements, does anyone think this: [image=http://www.xieish.com/users/instant_sunshine/HarrisonFord1.gif] icon would be a good replacement for this: [image=http://www1.theforce.net/icons/miscellaneous/harrisonalt.gif] icon? I don't like dear Harry looking pinkish...

If it's not too late, I'd like to give my vote for the version 'B' of the Embrace icon.

Lil_Lisa: Very nice icons. The hangar one is great.

LORD_RAHAN: Your new icon looks simple and fine, although we already have 2 Mandalorian symbols.


5 new icons

 

If you haven't noticed, icons of actual movie shots are the latest craze. People are all over that Obi-Wan deflecting lightning and the new "Unleashed" final duel. And the new Republic Gunships and Slave Quarters are great.

We always need to fill the missing character gaps, more EU, and we are doing well on Collecting, but good icons of great shots from any of the SW movies are the hot ticket right now.

Same standards will be held as to the others - May the best quality icons win.

You guys are doing an amazing job!
