    Browsing through the thread index I noticed that the only DooM game convered was the worthless CD-wasting Doom 3(it doesn't deserve the capital 'M'), and no thread dedicated to the originals.

    I played DooM from as early as I can remember. Ah the memories, booting up on the ol' Pentium, using that precious 500 megs of disk space to store DooM. Good times, good times.

    Now it is remembered as one of the most controversal games citing "excessive blood and gore" as the primary reason.

    But is that not what a game should be? Killing Impish Hell demons in full 8-bit color on your 15-in screen?

    Wasn't iddqd the code for godmode? Man, I have some fun memories of Doom and Doom II. I think the last time PC Gamer did a "Top 50 Games of All Time" Doom was put at #3.

    It probably lost to Half Life and one of the Civilisation games.

    iddqd = god mode
    idkfa = keys and full ammo
    idspispopd = no clipping (I think, I did that from memory).

    This was a grand game. First game I ever saw in deathmatch also...I was extremely impressed back then :)

    Plasma rifle is the winner.

    DooM 3 is good too. I haven't played the original in a long time.
