I'm having a lot of trouble getting virtual hosting to work with Apache so, for now, our site will be hosted at

http://nivuahc.is-a-geek.com

I have email and webmail working... I just need to set up your acccounts.

Send me a PM letting me know what you want your email address to be (i.e. yourname@nivuahc.is-a-geek.com) and I'll set it up. I'll have to figure out a way to get your password to you... I don't want to use the JC for that.

I tell you what, send me your current email address in your PM and I'll email it to you.

Why would you want one of these handy dandy email addresses?

Because you can have an attachment up to 50MB in size per email

Not the scrawny 2MB limit on most email acounts

Also, with webmail, you can access your account from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

I'm waiting on a bug resolution from the creator of the Discussion Forum software that I'm using to get our discussion forum up and running.... everything, so far, is a go but that one bug is holding me back.

Of course, I'll keep you informed on the progress.

Oh Sam, the info email address would be for anyone in the Augusta area interested in joining the Augustan Raiders Fan Force chapter. Whatever bluestarwizard chooses for his email account name, I can autmatically forward all info@nivuahc.is-a-geek.com email to him.

That way he can answer all of their questions


EDIT: FYI, once I do get virtual hosting to work like it's supposed to, your emaill address will automatically change as well. I'll also have it set to forward all of your nivuahc.is-a-geek.com email to your new address. None of the other info should change. The images will still be where they are as well as webmail, etc...

I just wanted to let you all know...that at the NJO's second meeting this past weekend, that Dragon Con was discussed...

I know that SWNYC plans on having some people down there...and a couple of the NJO's people might go...I will not be onw of them, unless I win the lottery.

I hope to be seeing lots of FF folks from all over the country at Dragon*con. We (that Atlanta FF) are in the process of planning our 3rd annual FanForce dinner that will be taking place during Dragon*Con. More info will be forthcoming.

And don't forget to post meeting details in this forum, as well as your new club forum. For one thing, we don't want those who drop in to miss a meeting because they didn't see the details here, and secondly, active FF boards tend to draw in more members. Just a humble suggestion from your RSA.

I accidentally took our discussion forums down for about 8 or 9 hours because I tried to add an unofficial feature to the system.

Thankfully, I had the whole thing backed-up and was able to restore it all.

Yeah, Dragon Con...if we have 10 people to go we get a $5 discount on each admission ticket!

We'd have to send it in together so if we could all have our money by May 15th, it'd be $45 per person!

Then we'd have to worry about the hotels and stuff...

but do we all still want to/can go? ?

 

Jessica and I want to go this year and we might be able to bring Kyle.

 

Unless I get ran over by a train or something of a similar nature, I will definitly be going. I've been wanting to go to Dragon Con for years. Now, not only am I actually gonna go, but I get to go with a bunch of friends. Can't wait guys.
