    Good thing you don't live in Auckland anymore. 8-}

No, but If I remember right he is picking the car up here in Auckland, so ...

    DANGER! DANGER Will Robinson!
Everyone in Auckland should stay indoors, well away from outside walls until SithForceLord goes back down south.

Those already in the south should start hiding all their sheep too.

    :p

anyhoo, here's a pic of my car.

footpaths are lame too. Islands in the middle of the road are easier targets than old ladies. :(

It's a standard Nissan Sentra wagon (slightly older model, not the current one) -being a wagon they are reasonably big, but not HUGE. :)

    damn Fotki X-box thingies.

Yea, technically it is a California, but it's a Japanise version of our Sentra of the same year.

At least it's not white. :p

AND, just to complicate things, the Sentra is the name Australia(?) gave to what New Zealand used to call the Pulsar. :)

    riiiiiight.

    :)

anyhoo, Lisa: It's not that *big*. Just a standard S/Wagon. When the back seats fold forward/down there's about 1.8M from the inside of the boot door to the back of the front seats (enough to sleep in length-ways) for when I go hunting/fishing I can just sleep in the back instead of tenting.

The only real problem with the Sentra wagons is their total lack of power - don't even bother trying to tow a caravan or heavy trailer up steep hills, you'll never get there without a good flat run-up first. :(

Otherwise the Sentra is quite a good car, especially when you consider that it's Nissan's lowest priced model (although there's various configurations). :)

...not that I'm going to be towing any caravan or the like, but yea you'll find any 1500 cc motor vehicle is pretty gutless when towing or going up descent hills.

It's perfect for my first car and it's bloody tidy and will do me well. :)

Leave for Blenhiem tomorrow at like 5:00am. Ferry crossing at 5:30pm. So we've got HEAPS of time to get down to welly with a few stops on the way. Get to Blenhiem at like 9-9:30pm.

Here we go, just for Kitt327, a custom built KITT from Knight Rider. :D

And it's currently only US$10,000 (reserve not met) - that's about NZ$21,322 ... plus shipping, customs, etc. :(

    Edit:
OR, you can buy this one for only US$40,000.

Or, they also sell all the parts for those with a DIY attitude. :)

Yep, looks great, but one of the guys in the Knight Rider Usenet newsgroup says it's probably still got the old engine and drive train in it, so is s-l-o-w as a snail and would need to be replaced - more money. :(

So no pursuit mode, or turboboost, I take it.

You get Pursuit Mode when you wear your lead work boots and Turbo Boost when you go over the speed bumps too fast. :p
