Wash, DC Ideas for DVD party

Hey guys are we still going to have an AOTC dvd party?? any suggestions where we would have it and when? I would offer my parents' home but it isn't metro accessible.

 

I'm still keen to watch it with all you guys - but we do need a plan ! MY work place is off limits as you guys can't get in (we have excellent multimedia facilities), and anyways, I live miles away from most people.

any bright ideas out there ?

I thought the dvd party was going to be at the Watergate.On the 16th of november.If that has changed someone let me know and I will cancel my leave request.
The first thing we need is for everyone to come.No more standing by myself on dark streets in cities like Richmond waitng for a cab dressed like a Jedi Knight in the rain at 1:30 AM. The eight people at the party got bored and left.

I'd offer my house too but again I don't live close to anyone and I'm not close enough to Metro.

We'd need: A TV, a DVD player, the DVD, a comfortable room, munchies. Thats all I can think of.

 

well, if you guys want, I will ask my parents to have it here. but you would have to get rides since it isn't near the metro. Oh, and we don't have a big screen tv either, but it is a flatscreen tv and the picture is great.

 

Do we have any idea of numbers of who would come, and when we'd have it? (Still the 16th?) That might make a difference on what people can volunteer.

 

well, I know me, SL, and TK would definitely go. and it seems a lot of other people are interested too. Kam, Sha, you, Ken, Malkie, Mitt. the list goes on. I wonder if we could rent a room somewhere.

 

I will bring munchies. i have a DVD player that i could bring and I will pick up anyone who wants to come and drive them I could meet them at a metro stop and we could go from there.I am flexable..
If we can lets try to have it on the day we already planed cause i took off work already, however if the date changes and it falls on when i am working then I need to know asap.
I am off the weekends of November 9th, Saturday the 16th work the 17th, 23rd so any of those dates is a go for me.
I could also try and have it at my house but i live in Waldorf and thats even further away. My sister has a big screen TV in Chesapeake Beach but i would have to promise her the world and thats even further away.

Ken and I can host at our place. It's only a 1 bedroom apartment, so we're not talking tons of space, but we do have the most important things - a DVD player and a TV. We're also very Metro accessible (exotic Crystal City in Arlington)and there's generally plenty of street parking in the neighborhood as well.

Glad to do it. Things like this force me to clean regularly.

I'd like to suggest that everyone brings their favorite munchie and/or beverage, we'll have a good time. We can provide the cups and plates and stuff like that. Also, if people can bring their copies of the film, that'd be good - in case we don't get ours in time for some reason.

When it gets closer to the date, I can send a PM or e-mail to everyone who wants to come with address and directions.

well, I'm probably getting widescreen.

 

Aren't both versions on the DVD? Widescreen is always better anyway.
