Cincin, OH Ideas for future meetings

I'm free pretty much whenever now. Any of these sound like fun to me.

 

I'm booked for Ikasucon as well, but I got something in the works for August. All I can say is: Plan on roughing it.

 

how roughing it is roughing it? can we bring portable CD players, liquid refreshment and foods?

no seriously, there is very basic electricity and very basic plumbing.

there is also Horseshoe courts, volleyball, Quad trails, paintball courses, places for camping tents and a nearby river for swimming & fishing.


as soon as I get a concrete timeframe I'll post more.

like woodstock, only with light sabers. . . less mud (hopefuly), more clothes(there'd better be) and well. . . I guess we could provide our own music. . .

Although I can't guaratee the clothes part though.

we shall endeavor to keep things family-friendly during the day, but when the sun goes down things might get a little crazy.

There are a few basic ground rules and reminders if we are going to be able to do this thing more than once:


#1- MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF.
I cannot stress that enough. this is my Family's personal campground. If you don't clean up after yourself, I will have to and that will be the end of it. Just remember, "leave it as you find it or better."

#2- THOSE WHO INTEND TO DRINK ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PLAN ON STAYING OVERNIGHT.
This is a non-negotiable item. no one, I reapeat, NO ONE will leave dunk OR intoxicated. The roads get very dark at night and dangerous. not to mention I don't want anyone getting a DUI or worse on account of me.

#3- Be Prepared.
If at all possible carry double of everything. The last thing you want is to run out of TP (toilet paper) & batteries out there! Even if you don't plan on spending the night, plan on backup arrangements just to be safe.

#4- RESPECT THE LAND, RESPECT EACH OTHER.
Don't be tearing up the place, but don't be causing trouble with other people either. If there is a problem with someone, come talk to me and we'll discuss it. if we cannot come to a suitible agreement, BOTH parties may have to leave. I'm going out there to have fun and I'm not going to be happy if people ruin it for me by being Laserbrains!

#5- NO CONTROLLED OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES.
Another non-negotiable item. If you are found to even have it in your posession, you will be banished... PERMANENTLY. DO NOT PASS GO DO NOT COLLECT $200.

yes there is fishing areas. The location is right next to the whitewater river on the outskirts of New Trenton Indiana.
