I figured i'd get this thread started so I can put the event up on the website and FB.

Can someone fill us all in with the details of when and where? Saturday 13th was the last I heard.

 

Well, it's at my house out in Phelan and is $5 per person. If you'd like to participate in the fun gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift worth no more than $10. I'm not sure of the times so I'll have to get that posted once I get home and read my flyer. I'll PM people the address to anybody that needs it.

I want to TRY and be be there. Since I have a job now, I don't know yet if I'll have that day free.

 

I wont make it as I have a race that day and an event I am already committed to in the evening.

 

Chris from 4 color fantasy comics in Cucamonga is doing an event in Pasadena on the 13th as well and wanted to know if the IEFF would like to be a part of it. I guess its that time of year when everything is happening at once for better or worse. If we would like to combine the x-mas party and Chris' event Chris wants us to let him know ASAP.

 

What's his event and what ideas did you have about combining them?

At this point, I'd prefer to keep out party as is at a home and not an event. What does everyone else think?

 

Booo. If it was closer to christmas, I'd be back at home in Riverside and could go. But I'll still be down here in SD at that time.

The event (which I spoke with Chris about)looks like it could be something pretty cool. We could go to this in January as it's a monthly event if I heard correct. So we vote Party.

i'm trying to find some commuter flights into the high desert, what airport is nearby, but i want to be there.

 

Southern California Logistics Airport It's 13.4 miles from the party house.

 

I should be able to make it.

Erm...hey, if the party is the 13th, why must one RSVP by the 16th? Did no one else notice this???

 

Funny!!! Not sure what the date is supposed to be, but I can guarantee that it's not the 16th.

Sorry it's been a few days since I posted last...been sick as a dog...ugh! Finally feeling like me again.

I wanted everyone to know that the party is going to be a super duper fun filled time indeed! Food, games, prizes...everything to make your spirits bright!

FYI...since we're keeping the cost to only $5.00 per person, please bring whatever soda you want for yourselves. This means if you drink Coke, bring enough Coke for you. If you like Dr. Pepper, please bring enough for you only. This is a BYOS party. This will help to make sure everyone's taste is satisfied and that there's not a bunch of soda left over.

Kari...I'll be calling you tomorrow to go over the last minute details that Sheila has come up with and to finalize everything with you.


Being that we need to shop for food (and to get an accurate count of things needed for the party), we need to know who is coming and who isn't. This is extremely important folks as this will determine how much food that needs to be bought, That said, if you haven't posted on if you're coming or not, please do so to make sure we can get the food issue taken care of. Thanks everyone on this!

Just thought I might mention that one of my dogs was sick last night, but he got over it really quick and took care of the mess himself! So, that being said, I hope you weren't sick like him!
