Just got back home a little while ago. Unloaded Kari's leftover stuff from the yard sale as well as mine. Met with Wifey for dinner and just got home. It was so very hot today but we all did quite well selling our wares. Thanks a million for the EZ up Kari and Darren for the Gatorade!

 

What a day! It was HOT beyond words, and thankfully busy. I've very thankful for that... and even more thankful that it's over!!!

Sonya and Darren, it was terrific of you to open up your yard and home to us! I want to thank all of you for helping me out! There's no way I would have been able to pack up and drive home without it. You guys are great!!! Sonya, please let Darren know how much I appreciate him taking care of what I couldn't at the and for delivering the Gatorade!! Also, tell Seth I love his "cool" room and it was very nice of him to let me hang out in it to cool off!

Mike, once again I apologize for being late. Another change I need to focus on in my life! Thank you for driving me home and for dinner! It was nice to meet up with Shelia (and she was atually wearing a SW shirt!)!

Even though it was hot and miserable, we got to hang out with friends, get rid of some junk... I mean, Treasures.... and make some cashola.

An added bonus... I paid my dues for the year with some of the profit!!!! And, I've got a little bit of money left over to spend at the Comic Con!!


I'm really sorry that a larger portion of the group chose not to participate in the yard sale, especially when the subject of dues was such a big deal. I'm sure everyone had a their own reason and I don't question it nor am I speaking directly to any one person. All I'm saying is that this was a great opportunity to raise some money to pay the dues without cash coming directly from your pocket or budget.

 

Oh yea, I forgot that Steve (Sesameguy) stopped by the yard sale... and spent a little cash. Thank you!

It was nice to meet you Steve. We hope you'll be able to join us at some of our other functions, soon!

 

We also met a nice lady who was there with her granddaughter who got all excited when someone said "Star Wars". Mike gave her a business card and a flyer.

 

Yeah, that was pretty cool. She actually got goose bumps when she heard what we do. Let's see what happens there.

I forgot to say thanks to Sonya for counting all the cash made and opening up your yard to sell all of our my wares. Enjoy the gift certificates I gave you.

It was hot hot hot indeed yesterday but worth it, as my dues are now paid in full from stuff that was sitting in my garage doing nothing. This truly was a great opportunity to have this yard sale as the location was great and oh yeah...my dues are PAID IN FULL, and it cost me NOTHING OUT OF POCKET to do so!

Kari, as you know it's never a problem to help out with whatever you need. I'm glad you had the trailer to help me deliver my goods as it would've taken two car fulls to get it there.
