major characters i think will be dead by the end of njo:

Mara Jade (HC5)
Lando Calrissian (HC4)
Gavin Darklighter (Enemy Lines)
Tahiri (wot is her surname?) (Force Heretic)

Who thought before NJO that any major character will die? No one is safe, though if they're gonna kill of somebody, they would pick a rational choice. They would not kill off anybody that NJO cant go on without. I think Jacen or Jaina might die, but definetly no BOTH of them.

 

I've got no problem if a major character dies as long as it's done tastefully. In life only two things are certain; death and taxes. Chewie dies a hero and will always be a hero. Sometimes a blaze of glory is better than smoldering out. Look at Luke. Some people hate what he's become. I'm not one of them, though. He's in a really tough position. If you've been a leader in any setting you can sympathize with the guy. More heros will go out in a blaze of glory before all is said and done. If not, we'll have a very "vanilla" story-line and not much to discuss.
