    While I do think Ep. 7 will hit it's 2015 release date (maybe even in may!) I think Lucasfilm is full-bore on Ep. 7 & Rebels and getting another Star Wars movie out 12 months later might be a tad impossible. I'd say 2017 for spin-off.

    I don't think it will be that hard as they're two distinct productions with different writers, director, crew, etc. and they can be worked on pretty much simultaneously. As soon as Episode VII finishes filming, spin-off #1 begins shooting straight away. As soon as spin-off #1 finishes, Episode VIII goes into production and it just steamrolls on and on.

    I disagree with KK here. Nobody besides GL himself should be able to control an entire trilogy.

    Even if JJ stays on for the entire trilogy I don't think he'll have complete control over everything. It's still a collaborative effort with GL creating the story, Arndt writing the script, Kathleen Kennedy as probably the overseer of the project and many, many others contributing to it.
