JCC If there is a mod, then why is there spam and trolling?

Is a mod willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he has not sufficient privileges.

Has he sufficient privileges, but is not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and possessed of sufficient privileges? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor possessed of sufficient privileges? Then why call him mod?

Only yesterday I stopped short of starting a thread about how much I admire Cnut. These people know nothing of Anglo-Scandinavian politics in the 10th century and probably would've turned a perfectly educational thread into some sort of crass joke.

 

Cnut was a crappy moderator. Never on duty and always complaining about how wet the forums were.

 

Trolls are bad.

 

If mods came from regular users, then why are there still regular users?

 

Often I lay awake at night pondering the existence of Mod.

With the life it seems to have taken on its own, I think the thread refused its own existence.

 

Still waiting for a Mod to be sacrificed for our posts.

Given the last post was before today was back in February and this thread was started back in 2013, I think it was the Senate mods that got sacrificed.
