What would it be? (Let's assume that the 'band' in question is GOOD... and that the arrangement is straight from Johnnie's music folder.)

For me, Battle of Hoth, no contest. I love that piece. So much going on... it'd be so much fun. And it's LONG.

I'd go with DOTF, most becaue I know it'd sound SO bad but I'd get an incredible adrenaline rush from playing it!

 

The Gungan parade piece. Quality stuff. (We'd play it as heard in TPM, edits, sound effects and all.)

Or, of course, The Happy Senators' Theme.

what kind of band are we talking about here? lets say its MY band... if i had a band it would be some sort of combo group, like three saxes (alto, tenor, bari), piano, and a drum set... i'd play the cantina band definitly! also i think DOTF would be cool in that arrangement.

I am planning on doing rock renditions of the important themes in my band. Currently I've transcribed the guitar and basslines for the imperial march, main theme, DOTF and even across the stars. Of course ATS wouldn't be a hard rock song. That would be blaspheming.

Anyway we've not sat down and practiced them as a band and I have yet to get my drummer to start working on it. having drums in star wars is a bit odd, but i have always pictured DOTF with some very heavy drumming. And there's always the snares in the main theme...

 

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing sheet musis for the Happy Senators' Theme sometime in the near future.

 

I always try to mention "The Happy Senators' Theme" on this forum.

Hey forgive me for being a moron, but am I correct in thinking that the Happy Senator's Theme is the celebration music of TPM which sounds like a nice happy joy version of the Emperor's Theme?

I meant band as in orchestra, symphony, whatever... concert band.

But if you could do it, Battle of Hoth would sound awesome with a regular band (electric (x2?) bass, drums)

 

"The Happy Senators' Theme" is a joke that grew out of my wondering if Bail Organa and/or his friends would have a theme. Emperor_Dan gave it its name.

It isn't actually anything, though some believe that it's actually the Imperial March, specifically the rendition at the end of AOTC.

I personally just use it to refer to generic non-existent SW music when answering questions of the "what's your favorite track?" variety.
