Lit If you could only ever read 1 SW comic series...

    I'd love to say AotE but as much as it's my favorite SW comic in a long time, I can't call it the most iconic such that it's he my only choice. Similarly, I loved Invasion -- at least the first two arcs -- for depicting the NR era and the Vong war, but it's also one that's more of a luxury.


    And while I enjoy Legacy, it's not the one I'd pick as the sole comic series I'd have ever read.

    XWRS perhaps? It was lengthy but still cut short just as it hit its stride.


    Actually, you know what, I reject the premise of this thread. There cannot be just one. So there.

    Mainly because it began my journey into the EU in the first place, but also because its FANTASTIC. Dark Horse was a gold mine of great Star Wars stories, the good outweighed the bad.

    I'm gonna cheat a bit by saying Republic, since it technically includes Dark Times and Acts of War. :D

    If we're counting Republic and Dark Times as one---since the issue numbering does continue seamlessly---that's the one, hands down. But I mean, obviously, because that puts Quinlan Vos and Dass Jennir in the same series.

    Dass was introduced in the final issues of Republic, before it shifted to Dark Times and Stradley as writer. :-B

    If I could only ever read one Star Wars comic, probably Dark Empire in terms of being a sequel to the OT.

    In terms of detail and potential, Legacy. Do Volume I and II count as separate? I like Volume II a bit more (better lead character), but Volume II is building on everything introduced in Legacy I.

    Although if I had to only have one comic series ever, probably KotOR, as Zayne and Gryph are awesome.

    Though if TotJ (or at least Redemption) could be included in KotOR (as part of the Old Republic era), that would be nice too.

    Despite having said Dark Empire, I should really have picked VECTOR as that forces the existence of KOTOR, Dark Times, Rebellion and Legacy. [face_mischief]
