Right before Obi-Wan left the planet, they show a bunch of clone troopers and a few of the Emperor's Royal Guards. However, the Royal Guards were tall and in red, much like the locals.

I know this might be a stretch, but are the Royal Guards basically slaves from Utapau. That was the first impression I got when I saw the movie.

I thought the guys being escorted were Tion Medon and his companions. They look like they are wearing hoods from behind because their collars arch so high. What I can't figure out is, are they being taken prisoner by the Clones? They look like they are under arrest or something.

I believe they were being put into custody by the troopers. Apparently Order 66 had much more to it than: "Eliminate the Jedi". I assume the same thing happened to the Wookies I mean, isn't it canon that the Wookies are turned into slaves by the Empire?

I watched the clip again, and it definitely is the Emperor's Royal Guards.

The warriors ride around on the dinosaurs. They're seen from a distance.

First of all the Wookies didn't much of anything in the movie. What a little howl and two of them using a rope to drop a charge, some driving or flying that stupid helicopter thing. They were there just for show, no real big contribution except when Chewie and Tarful help Yoda escape.

You can also find a pic with info on the Utapauian in the Ultimate Missions book of Revenge of the Sith.

Nah, they're too tall for Royal Guards, as they represent another species. Besides it wouldn't make any sense for RG to be captured by clones. They're hooded Utapauns - these guys (on the right behind Tion):

You can check this also in the Art of ROTS album. And OS databank explains that after O66 Utapau was taken over by the forces of a new Empire.

Yeah, right! I've just found them! They are hardly seen, but they are there. In the part following Anakin's attack on the Jedi temple. I was trying screen capt, but at the moment have problems with it.
