If you sneeze and someone says 'Bless You'

Don't say 'thank you', otherwise you will kill a fairy

 

What are you supposed to say? I always mumble a thanks. Goodness, I have probably killed hundreds of fairies!

Last time somebody 'said' that to me i said 'I heard that....'

 

Now you tell me. Why didn't you tell me before I killed all the fairies?

Let me see if I remember...if someone sneezes and you dont say bless you...doesnt a devil get you or somethin? I think in hindsight I'd rather kill a fairy than have a devil get me.

 

Yes, they fear was if someone didn't say 'bless you' before you inhaled after a sneeze you would suck in evil spirits & that is why or how some poeple became possesed or why people did bad things, hence "the devil made me do it".

 

I read somewhere that blessing people after sneezing started because of the plague. Makes sense.

But.... I don't like fairies. Why should I be worried about their fate? Haven't they evolved enough to have a Fairies Wing'ed Social Service fund or something?! You know, a, ahhh, support group if your wings fail from gusting winds that sort of thing? Supplement income due to acts of, ahh, humans?

I don't believe in faries

 

I've heard that when you sneeze, your soul leaves your body for a second and if no one says "bless you", the devil might take it. And if you say "Thank you", you'll kill a gnome, not a fairie.

Poor fairies! I had no idea. I will never say thank you again.

 

So if you're not supposed to say thank you, what then are you to say? Just be a jerk and ignore the one who blesses you?

When I sneeze I am too busy recovering from the sneeze that I forget to say anything.

Nadia you know every time someone says that a fairy somewhere drops down dead. hmmm. I DON'T BELIEVE IN FAIRY'S.

You know that none of that stuff is real. There is a perfect medical explanation for it.

 

There's a perfectly logical rationale behind everything having to do with superstition. That doesn't keep people from believing that crazy stuff.
