If you want to create a new thread...

The forum moderators are periodically disabling the ability to start new threads in an effort to cut down on redundancy and spam. This is not permanent, and posts are enabled on a daily basis. If you wish to create a new thread, please be patient and wait for the post feature to be enabled, or take the time to use the search function or check back through the forum, because there is very likely already a thread discussing the very subject you wish to talk about.

If you do make a thread, please make sure your thread is clearly titled, because one reason redundant threads are frequently created is due to unclear or misleading titles.

Please do not choose instead to go into other forums to create threads. Just because you cannot start an original thread does not mean you can't post your thoughts here. There's always an existing thread that would be appropriate to add your thoughts to. If you're having trouble finding it, contact a mod and one of us will help you.

There's no timetable on it. It pretty much depends on the users. Hopefully it won't be too long, but I've no concrete answer I can give you.

 

They should do this in the PT and OT forums as well. Its crazy in there as well. So much redundant stuff.

 

Just to back up what dehrian said, there is no definate time-table for how long this will have to last, but it certainly isn't a permanant arrangement and as the initial buzz dies down, users can expect us to enable the thread making capability for longer periods.

We're not just going to wake up one morning and decide to have a free-for-all on this forum, and let everybody create threads.

What we will do, is very gradually we will relax the the rules. We do allow threads to be created for brief periods even now, as we go along over the next few months, clearly the demand on this forum will get less and less, meaning that eventually the thread making capability will be switched on for longer periods.

Theres nothing for anybody to worry about.

HomerS1979, we do this because we have to, not because we want to. We don't expect people to like it. We'd be surprised if they did.

MTM, if someone has an issue with what the mods are doing, we the mods will answer for it, K?
