if you were a sith lord, what would your name be?

I'd want a battle cruiser of great power.

Many minions under my control.

And even thouhg it's gimmicky I'd want twin red lightsabers to wield in battle.

Look on page 204 of the Art of Episode One, the color drawing. I want that outfit but in black.

I think I read somewhere that feamle Sith were refered to as "Lady".

In the EU, the Norghi (bad spelling) call Leia "Lady Vader". But my last name doesn't do it...it's too long. lol

Is there any title given to female Sith?
I have heard, rumors really, that Darth is a combination of the words "Dark" and "Sith".

Dith? No. Sark? Um...no.

I'm gonna go look at my Tales Of The Jedi stuff and see if there is a title given for Sith women.

 

Well, I just took a little browse through TOTJ comics, and through the West End Games RPG supplement. There does not seem to be any real title given to women other than "Lady". Even Aleema in TOTJ is reffered to once as Lady Aleema.

I'm not sure if such a distiction is needed however. Darth, Lady, Queen(any evil word for Queen in another language?) would be appropriate.

That does seem to be the case (my TOTJ comics aren't handy at the moment).

Even in the current Prequel comics, the Jedi they call the Dark Lady...I think that's what they call her.

Say.did you all ever notice that the word "sith" is never used in the OT films?

 

Although Desann from Jedi Outcast is really cool.

 

There are threads in the 'movies' section of the JC where Sith and the meaning/origin of Darth get explored, but some of it is EU (Sith) and some is guesswork (Darth). One question is whether the term 'Sith' was canon, since it didn't seem to appear in the OT. A lot of us old-timers chimed in to note that much of the merchandise, books, and the like used "Dark Lord of the Sith" as part of Vader's title. Of course back then we had no idea what it meant, either. I'm hoping some brief mention of it comes up in the films.

As far as a name goes, since many Sith have sinister names like "Bane", "Maul", and "Sidious", I think I'll choose

I remember the term `sith' appearing on some of the trading cards and it was definitely in the ANH novel.I even remember reading old interviews with Lucas where he used the term.

I guess that technically,the term wasn't canon until Ep.I,but really I always considered it to be canon anyhow.What I don't consider to be canon are the EU explanations for the origins of the Sith.One of the things I liked about The Phantom Menace novel was that it gave some insight into the history of the order,and the idea behind the rule of two.Again,not necesarily canon,but it was not outlandish like some of the EU ideas.Granted,without Lucas' direction,the EU authors could only speculate.
