Let's say you're the Emperor in ROTJ and Luke has given in to his anger, even before chopping Vader's hand off... both are unharmed ( well Vader is still in his suit, but that's because of Obi-Wan ) and both pledge their allegiance to you.

If both Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker surrendered to you and you were sure neither of them would ever betray you, but you could pick only one of them - who would you choose as your Dark Side apprentice and why?

I would make them continue fighting to the death to earn my admiration.

I'd make them play rock paper scissors for it!

    Or I'd flip a coin!

Hmmm.... based upon that scenario, I'd choose Luke because he's younger, he's got the speed, stamina and has more potential for chaos and destruction.
Luke blows up Death Stars as a Force newbie, for Pete's sake!
He's gotta be cheaper to maintain than Vader?!

Vader is over the hill by then... his claim to fame was blowing up a pathetic droid control ship?! Building pod racers and prissy droids? That's ain't blowing up a Death Star!
Vader was probably not under warranty by then anyway!
Besides, I'll bet Vader's breathing sounds would get on my nerves after awhile, it sounds like he's some phone pervert! Imagine hearing THAT when you are trying to get a nap on the throne?!

Finally, since Luke isn't as big as Vader, you wouldn't have to worry about him lifting you up and throwing you down a reactor shaft!

    I choose Luke, just Luke.

I'd have to choose Anakin/Vader as my apprentice ... Luke is a tad bit on the whinny side. Plus, Anakin is taller!!! :D

Well, Luke's got the benefit of youth on his side, not to mention not having to walk around with a life-support system and so on.

After a bit of training from Palps, I'm sure he could be just as powerful as Vader, so my vote would be for Darth Luke.

I dont know. I think Vader because hes been loyal. He never got out of line. Luke could be prone to sympathy and being good because of Han, Leia, Chewie, all rebels, 3po, R2D2 and more. So I go with Vader
