That shot always confuses me. Like, two of the guys in that shot were later confirmed to be Red or Gold Squadron pilots. Who are the rest of them? Just how many offscreen Y-wing pilots were there?

I thought for sure that more people would recognize a Last Starfighter screencap when they saw it.

I'm not understanding what your getting at. There have been a ton of author created characters. I think I must be missing the joke.

Good enough but not the kind of a thing I'll re-read, not that big a Claremont fan.

But, for me, the style didn't cross the decades. So I flogged the lot!

Actually, you wouldn't want Claremont, you'd want the Warren Ellis run which I'm not sure if it's been collected or not. I think it started with Dream Nails or Black Air which introduced Pete Wisdom...although to be fair the concept of WHO (Weird Happenings Organization) does trace back to Claremont and Excalibur.

If you can find it, I'd really, really recommend the Starjammers four issue series that Ellis did, which is just great space opera.

There's also the good Pryde and Wisdom mini-series which blew my mind with the plotline.

I don't even know if they've collected all of Claremont's Excalibur, which I know had one collection, but after the Warwolves story I don't know if they ever collected the rest, including the crazy Cross-Time Caper.

To tie this in, it's interesting that Claremont did make attempts at diversity in his X-Men and especially the New Mutants as there were obviously loads of women and many minority characters when compared to other books on the market.

Claremont is one of the best when it comes to diversity

Yeah, I started reading his run on New Mutants, and was very impressed for the diversity, especially for the time.

Claremont can be really melodramatic, but he's fantastic when it comes to creating characters and concepts.

Marvel don't make it easy but yes, they've collected the Claremont and Ellis runs.

Claremont's is 4 volumes, Excalibur Classic, I think Ellis is something like Excalibur Visionaries and is a couple of volumes. Plus a couple for Alan Davis too.

I found that interlocking plastic pegs improved the flux dispersal.
