    I'm not sure this reasoning entirely makes sense to me. I was just at a convention today, and there were a significant number of cross-gender cosplayers who were easily recognizable. I don't know why (say) a black Han Solo would be any odder.

    I mean, yeah, obviously I agree with the underlying point, but it's kind of a strange rationale for it.

    Oh I didn't mean it that literally. I think representation and visibility is ace regardless, but I can't help but feel a teensy bit warmer about it all because they're ethnically diverse.

    Aye. I don't have much enthusiasm for tuning in every week to watch the Social Justice Warriors Alliance kick the **** out of the Evil Intergalactic Patriarchy of Straight White Men for the crime of privilege. Even if it is Star Wars branded.

    I don't think making the Empire an organisation of kinky gay nazis then gunning them down by the bucket load when they move to force their lifestyle on the outer territories is going to be better.

    I mean, to be honest I'd probably enjoy it more than if the Empire is the forces of straight white guyness being gunned down in droves by feminists and ethnic minorities for refusing to stop drawing pictures of naked ladies, but we SWGs try to keep our evil more subtle than that.
