Elves can't even grow beards! Well, not until they're thousands and thousands of years old and the only one we've actually seen do it is probably a first-generation elf or thereabouts.

Also I suggest you take a good look at history's royals. You will find much hair. Respect the glory of the regal beard, Jello. Respect it.

lolol you're going to convince me with Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius? Those screw-ups damn near ruined the golden age of the Empire!

And then you follow with barbarians like that Frankish oaf Karl and Richard of England? it's like you don't even know me. :p

    George V was a good pick though. So there's 1/8 :p

You need not like the monarch to respect the regal majesty of his beard!

Also if you keep talking **** about Charlemagne Christopher Lee is going to show up and kick your ass.

Well, Charlemagne was an uncouth barbarian. But Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius? [face_not_talking] Even I'd be a monarchist if more monarchs were like them.

Hadrian was a murderous tyrant who gave up the Parthian frontier and set the Empire up for centuries of more war. That he contributed to the architecture of Athens is basically his only contribution.

And Marcus Aurelius -- who would otherwise be unobjectionable -- destroyed the golden age by handing the Empire to his lackwit son, directly setting the stage for the Crisis of the Third Century and the end of the Principate.

And Karl the "Great" was just a warlord, no more, no less.

If Anakin's ghost now has to look like Hayden, Palpatine's should definitely look like that.

Um, inviting a bearded Hayden is a bad idea. Have you seen the fuzz that guy calls a beard? [face_laugh]

I quite like a nice well-trimmed beard on a man.

Grow one, Jello. You'd look classy.

I would give facial hair a try if I could actually get it to grown better than a terrible, terrible excuse for a Chia.

Same here plus it's easier to just shave it quickly every other day, if it's allowed to grow it's more painful to shave when the time comes.

You have to give a beard time.

This is what Engels could grow at 23:

PS: Advocating for dictatorship of the proletariat will NOT make your beard grow faster.

I love the idea that he put forth - that the heyday of "geek culture" was circa 2005... much like saying that the heyday of punk rock was around the release of Green Day's Dookie.

Er, why are you posting a link about diversity in the beard thread?

Seriously, though, I have no idea who Bobby Roberts is, but he is now officially my hero.
