That's as confusing as saying "olive-skinned"! Are we talking white or yellow peaches here? Because if it's the later, then gross! That's like saying we all have Donald Trump's peculiar skin color!

On a more serious note, does olive-skinned refers to black olives or to olive oil (I'm leaving out green olives because that can't be a thing)?

I say she has become more Asian over time. Her last name being Shan probably helps with that. Star Wars does like to mix and match but Shan is pretty common Chinese Last Name as compared to something random like Kenobi.

 

Can I just say how awesome they look with those black uniforms? Oh, and their eye color. Man, the design in R1 is beyond on point at all levels.

 

I agree you can see the influence but Shan is a straight up last name with none of the ambiguity of Kenobi. Which is some mix of Ken and Shinobi I think think.
