We are hosting a friend's mutant experiment gigantic dog (aka a Great Dane). He weighs 175 pounds. That's about the same as me plus one of my own dogs. Also he isn't exactly BFF with my own dogs. Right now I think he's snoring.

    Also, he has laser eyes

Clearly you do not value your toes.

(He his rather lovable though, if it's possible to love a bull in a china shop).

If you're a guy then your feet aren't what you should be worried the most about being stepped on. Friend of mine had a huge Lab when he was young. We were roughousing one day with said Lab and the dog inadvertently stepped on my friend's, erm, "area" and he was sore for weeks. Took he and his wife two years of trying before they conceived their firstborn. So, uh, wear a cup or something.

My brother had a lab/Dane mix. We used to say that that dog was part horse. It got interesting when he married a woman who rescued greyhounds and had two of them. With three dogs that size, they had to live in a house, even before they had kids.

But yeah, they're gentle giant dogs.

How can he step on you if you're riding him around?

We had to lock up the spice before he came.
This big guy's a bit outside that norm. He's doing a lot better than I expected though. The problem is that he tries to have his way with our dogs, and if they growl or throw signs to him to back off, he won't. And we have no doubts about who would win in an escalated situation.

He's pretty calm though. He's been sleeping in my room. His bed the size of a single mattress, I swear.
