You mislinked to Maleficent, which has nothing to do with Twin Peaks.

Lots more Bowie, Sheriff Cable and Agent Desmond fight! My favorite was near the end of the clip where Laura is looking out from her hiding place and meets Leland's gaze, and you can see he isn't even there.

So has anyone seen the preview for the upcoming show which looks to be a ripoff homage to Twin Peaks?

It's call "Wayward Pines," and is about:

"A Secret Service agent goes to Wayward Pines, Idaho, in search of two federal agents who have gone missing in the bucolic town. But instead of answers, (the) investigation only turns up more questions. What's wrong with Wayward Pines? Each step closer to the truth takes him further from the life he knew, from the husband and father he was, until he must face the terrifying reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive"

It is packed with stars from Matt Dillion, Juliette Lewis, Terrance Howard and others. It's produced and some episodes directed by M. Night Shyamalan, which is eh.... Could be good. Could be overblown.

That's pretty neat. While they weren't in character, that's similar to the "diner interview" which was an extra on the Gold Box DVD set.

How can Lynch not be considering some sort of sequel or "re-visit" to Twin Peaks? He certainly seems to have all sorts of fragments that continue the story.

Oh. man, that orange font, with way too heavy green outline plus a superfluous black drop-shadow is REALLY UNSETTLING.

So apparently, David Lynch and Mark Frost simultaneously tweeted "That gum you like is coming back in style! #damngoodcoffee"

    To add, regarding those tweets...

"Both at 11.30am, the time Cooper arrives in Twin Peaks, Cooper also said this -

"When two separate events occur simultaneously pertaining to the same object of inquiry we must always pay strict attention.""

If there were to happen, I think the immediate issue would be should Fire Walk With Me be ignored or not.

In some areas, FWWM was excellent. In others, it was...less effective... It's greatest negative was that it was filmed right around the time when the primary cast was experiencing Twin Peaks burnout, so while some sort of bookend was needed to the series, this was rather rushed. I would almost prefer it if FWWM was ignored, and given the outworldly nature of the black lodge, the original series come back and continue where it left off. Granted, since so much real world time has passed, it's not like the next scene could be Agent Cooper pulling back after smashing his face in the mirror, but I think it would allow the series to go in more directions.

But really, as long as Harry Truman is hypothetically allowed to come back, I'd be happy.

i'm not expecting anything too linear, but it's probably best to go in with no expectations at all.
