I've never given this show a chance because I've never dug David Lynch or the weird **** I've seen on snippets here and there. I mean, is it that good?

How are they going to get around the Bob issue? Just say he's a spirit so can change form?

Well, he's right. "I don't like sci-fi or overacting. Will I like Star Trek?"

BOB could always look like Leland Palmer now...

Last time I rewatched the series I ended up having a horrible nightmare about the Black Lodge, with nothing but that floor pattern, red curtains, the jazzy chords, and an indescribable feeling of horror.

    I can't wait for more.

Kyle MacLaughlin just got a recurring gig on Agents of SHIELD. Geez, finally gets a steady TV gig and then they bring back Twin Peaks a few days later.

Al, Peaks won't film for a year. Who knows what he'll be doing on shield by then.

I'm short on time, otherwise I'd do some google-fu to see who's still with us. However, it is my utmost wish that before Garland Briggs passed on, that he confided in his son Bobby a few facts:

-That the identity of "Major Briggs" was just a cover to keep his family safe.
-That he's actually a General, and Head of Homeworld Defense
-That the extra-terrestrial activity he monitors is a portal, a "Stargate," if you will, housed in a secret base deep beneath NORAD
-That his last name is actually Hammond

It is. You should check it out only because it is a definitive piece of film making. You can't even say it represents a real world time (ie. it's not 80's or 90's pop culture) because it really is its own genre.

But yeah, it's very Lynchian/Frostian, so the snippets do represent the atmosphere. If you don't like that style, then you don't like it, but keep in mind, it's not just a random parade of weird events strung together like what are shown in highlight reels. Everything does fit together. If I were you, I'd watch at least the first episodes when Lynch and Frost were still more heavily involved. I don't have an episode guide in front of me, but I'd like to say the first 10 or so? After that, the network pressured them to solve the murder and related plot points, and Lynch in particular, reduced his involvement with the show. The episodes that followed were more for the die hards.

I don't know. I never read the Black Lodge novels, but I think it's probably a good thing that Twin Peaks Meets Spawn Vs. Predator stay buried and forgotten.

The pilot episode is something of a slow build; but after that, it gets really rollin'. Fair warning, though: each episode ends with a cliffhanger, so you may find yourself binge-watching.

This op-ed piece totally sums up my attitude toward the upcoming mini-series.
