ILM in Saving Private Ryan!!!

    I dont know if this is the right board for this topic.

    I already know that ILM was the effects company for SPR, but does anyone know what scenes they did?

    Some tracer bullet shots, but the main shots provided is just after the invasion, you see a few shots of the beach with more soldiers landing, vehicles, boats and one or two dirigibles floating in the air. Not a heavey VFX film but very nicely done.

    What i meant was, the scenes like when they used the napalm on the pill box, was that CGI or pyro.
    Was the sky fake. Was the background landing craft CGI. Was any of the action of on the beach cloned.
    That kind of stuff.

    Don't remember the scene about the pill, but a lot of stuff was done for the Omaha beach landing mainly tracer fire and bullet hits. That shot with the blimps and assorted vehicles on the beach on the background aafter the landing was a lot og VFX.
