GOTG is a complete turd. But the Marvel Zombies love it and continue to furiously masturbate to the domestic box office take since it "proves" it's an amazing movie. One person on another forum also said it was Oscar worthy for Best Picture.

As for the Hobbit 2, it was waaaaay too long. I watched it recently again and I was on my iPad...I look up and they're in the mountain doing nothing...I look down...I look up again 15 minutes later and they're still in the mountain doing nothing.

Harry Potter started this nonsense of splitting movies into two parts and now everyone is doing it to maximize profits. I can't wait for an abbreviated fan version of the Hobbit Trilogy in three hours.

It's about 14 hrs long and you'll just have to keep peeing. It won't be any better, and you'll just end up worst for it.

Instead, play a game of D&D where all the dwarves look like humans. You'll get more out of it, even with D&D Next.

Why does Thorins hair flow in the breeze while the other dwarves hair remain still?

 

I enjoy the Hobbit movies for what they are. LOTR were fantastic artistically well constructed films, Hobbit is just a fun movie with some faint traces of LOTR. It's fun, that's it. It could use a good deal of editing though.

Also, how DARE people have different opinions on movies than me!!!

 

I love The Hobbit films, not as great as LOTR, not as bad as the SW PT. HBO has been airing the first two and I have them on for background.

 

They could easily have ended the story in the second movie, but PJ chose to drag it out so he could make a 3rd movie. And there will probably be less Smaug in it than in part 2 which is a shame as he's the best part.

 

I think it's important that that the fact that TDOS is an utter turd is stated in this post.

 

Grandma has been in her lazyboy for days watching it on loop. beats the Family Feud loop we get on occasion. I wanna punch Steve Harvey. or feed him to an orc.
