I'm back...and I'm sorry...

This should probably go into the YJCC, but considering this is a community in itself, and I've tried to be a big part of it, I think that you all deserve to be able to read this here.


That's right, I'm back, and I'm sorry.

Here's why:

My name is not Rex Sundale. I am not 18 years old.

Rather, I will not specify my name, and I am 14 years old.


I do not live in Australia. I live in the United States.


I did not leave for 5 days to go to Los Angeles. I left for 5 days to go to a church camp a few hours drive from here.


That's where this comes in. I love Star Wars, I love the JC, and I love the Star Wars Community forum over any of the other parts of this site. I try to dedicate much of my time with helping new members, with aiding in the advancement of this great forum, and still managing to have a good time.

But only a good time on the computer. I was on it for the majority of the time, and it really took away from the major aspects of my religious life. To be honest, I just came back to post this message and inform the threads I have ties to about my decision. I haven't even taken the time to catch up with the forum.


Therefore I am officially leaving the JC indefinately. I'm still going to be a big Star Wars fan, reading the EU and picking apart the films piece by piece. Perhaps one day I may return, and you know I'll be here in the blink of an eye if you email me that you need help with something.

Other than that, I don't know what to say.

Oh, wait, I know. What to do with the threads and such that I have ties to...


I'm leaving the Cloud City Cantina administration up to the following people: OBIX1, JediMasterKitFisto, and, of course, YODA_SITH.

I'm leaving the NJOFC position to Iron_Fist, as well as the Senator position.

I'm asking to be placed on the Reserve list of the EUDF.

And I'm, of course, retiring from the Dark Lords.



I'm sorry about the whole ruse, I'm glad I had fun with you guys, I wish you all well in the future, and, of course, may the Force be with you.

Although I never got to know you in person Ken, your posts were always wonderful and appreciated. Best luck in where ever you go.

 

Take it easy Ken. I wouldn't worry about the fooling everyone aspect of your stay here, after all I am sure that people have done much worse than that.

In any event, I've been getting tons of messages about "Why?". Here's my answer:


Why? Think of what Star Wars is.

It's a thing that you can escape in. You can get away from the violence and such of the real world and look at the violence and such in Star Wars- but unlike real life, the good guys always win.

For me I got to get on the JC and escape real life. I got to escape being an American, and I got to "live" the life of an Australian named Rex Sundale. I got to escape the trials and tribulations of a young teenager and go to "live" the life of an older one.

I got to escape real life and live in Star Wars. KenKenobi was my persona of all that was good in me.

But now it's time to go home to real life. KenKenobi, the representation of my good side, was brought back to me during the camp. Now that I'm "one" again, it feels so much better.


I'm sorry if I hurt anyone, because, really, I didn't mean to. That was no intent to do so, and even though I doubt that hurting anyone's feelings is the case, I know many will be disappointed in me. But again, what can I say besides "sorry"?

I'm really appreciative of those who understand- seriously now, it means a ton that you support my decision. Even if you don't, that's fine- I'll be gone anyways, so there won't be any problems, right?
