It is, but if it didn't happen then he wouldn't be as successful and awesome as he is now. Sometimes people need to hit the low points.

But more on topic, I would encourage prenn to not hit the low points based on his past public dating adventures. There's no need for that nonsense.

 

Where they exes at that point? If so, that's ingenious. How did you get them to do that?

 

Most people instantly flee SLG, so it's more a question of how she got them to stick around long enough to be exes.

 

One I was in a relationship with at the time, that french guy who used to post here. But he was severely mentally unstable and a wide variety of every other element you don't want in a boyfriend. I fully encouraged his living overseas at the time. So your answer is craziness. Date the crazies.

I mean, I'm partly doing it for my career goals. Half of the reason I'm moving is to go back to school.

I decided that I only believe in Jesus half way, and thus want to be a teacher/administrator at a school in the hood instead of a minister in the hood. And I don't think I'd be able to afford going back to school in L.A. and working a part time job without going into debt.

 

Well at least you still believe in the kids all the way.

 

What? Because of rent prices? Otherwise I'd have a hard time believing than non-resident tuition for Arizona universities is cheaper than CSU's or even UC's for CA residents.

 

Actually, AZ gets a ton of CA students specifically because the non-resident is competitive with those. Or used to be, at least.

 

That, and cost of living. Rent, gas, etc. It's just overall cheaper to live in a state like Nevada or Arizona than it is to live in Los Angeles.

Really? It was less than $3,000 a semester for undergrad when I left in 2010 (and about $1,600 in 2006 ), but CSU's are probably still on the relatively cheap end. They're good schools, too.

Yeah, cost of living in L.A. is bad, but that's not the primary thing students go into debt for.

 

To clarify, tuition isn't my problem. My master's degree is paid for, essentially. It's the cost of living that affects me.

 

I'm just going off testimonials from people I knew at the U of A who were from California. Mind you, I recall a big kerfluffle over tuition exploding while I was in undergrad, so it's entirely possible that's no longer the case.

The cost of living isn't bad if you look hard enough. I pay $650 for a bachelor, live by myself. Pay about 120ish for groceries/coffee a month. I found LA is cheaper just because there's such variety...when it's expensive it REALLY is, but it's not always.

 

I've sort of experienced it the other way around, girls wanting to move to where I live. That's usually the end of it. I can't have people around me for too long. Anybody foolish enough to date me should be prepared to spend a lot of time on their own.

My advice would be to stay put.

I don't know anybody from Northern Arizona, though.
