IM Question

Does anyone else use the Away Messages the same way I do?

I use them to inform people what I am doing to be away.... And many times it tells you that I am near just not in the office itself... So, seeing my status as "away" does not always mean I am "away." Check out the message.









Of course, sometimes I get a little too creative w/ my away messages, but until I reach sideshow212's away message prowess, I figure it's still pretty amateurish

 

I've done that too. Put up stuff about grooming -usually plucking my brows. Getcher mind outta the gutter!- and sewing and stuff. I try to be funny at the same time though. -=shrug=-

 

Well I did receive an away message from Jenn....ifer....once.......considering I get one or two a month......I am not sure anyone cares if I have an away mssg.....

 

That's how I use "away" -- when someone mesgs me, if I don't want to talk to them, I don't reply, and they assume I really AM "away." But, since I only log on when I'm at work, most of the time I'm too busy to chat anyway.

 

Mine vary from Saying I am sleeping to something about playing video games to a song by Evanescence.

A) not at home

First time I read that one I laughed so hard, the woman in the next office came over to see what was so funny

 

I try to be clever... MJ just isn't very creative...

 

Back when everyone and his dog used ICQ I'd come up w/ some funny ones. Usually now I just disconnect when I'm away (or let the away come up automatically)...that's how it goes when you're on dialup and only have 1 phone line
