JCC I'm screwed: The Tunick life at Wally World

Found out at work today that we're getting a new person to be joining our Instock crew...........a woman (about my age) who has a crush on me. The fact that she has this crush is quite bizarre in itself, and though she is an extremely nice & attractive woman, I'm just not interested (I don't want any sort of romantic relationship right now.........I enjoy being a bachelor). This is going to be very annoying having her on the crew, not to mention all the new material everyone else will have for jokes ( ).

I mean control your crush. Get those feelings in a pile and burn them. Keep away from her, or keep interaction with her to a minimum. Make them professional and brisk. You can't sit there and say "man, I can't do anything with x because I have a crush on y". What is that going to accomplish? Where are those feelings going to get you? Nowhere, because she's married. I'm sure she's great, or whatever, and I'm not saying to get with this coworker person just because she likes you if you don't like her, but you definitely need to get the focus of your affections to move elsewhere. And it can be done pretty easily, you just have to want to move on. Accept that it's not going to happen, and find something else--believe it or not she's not that unique of a person that there's not someone else just as good out there.
