Boo, Alouettes! They crushed my Stamps on Thursday (started last year 0-3 and won the Cup, I wonder what 0-4 will get us this year?)

You know, if you don't have loyalty to any one team, you can always cheer for the Riders. They're like the Chicago Cubs of the CFL (except they've actually won a title in my lifetime). Plus, they're actually off to a good start this year - 3-1 and tied with Edmonton and the Boo Bombers for first in the West.

Football's OK. By football I mean, of course, the Canadian version of American Football, otherwise known as the CFL. The NFL... that's not football.

However, Hockey's got it all beat. The hockey season isn't long enough. It should be at least 14 months per year.

I guess I should warn you. Those beliefs arn't popular in Canada, so if you're quite a strong right winger, I recommend you keep quiet about it. Anything more right than the Alliance (which is only as far right as the Democrats) isn't tolerated well here. Heck, outside the west, the Alliance isn't even tolerated!

 

In all honestly, AT60, it depends solely on the issue...and I have found no reason yet to change who I am or what I believe. I can accept, and I can debate, what other's might believe, in a civil matter, but that won't change me...I respect other people's opinions and beliefs...we're all entitled to them...all I can ask is that people treat me the same, despite what citizenship I may have...

 

Well, I'm just saying don't expect everyone to accept your beliefs. If I moved down to the states, I think I'd keep my liberal beliefs to myself. Not worth starting fights over.

 

I've learned long ago not to expect people to accept my beliefs...it's not my place to bring them to that point...I'm just there to talk and discuss...
