    ImagiCon Comes to Columbus
    Science Fiction/Fantasy Convention Hosts Open House April 2, 2011.

    (Columbus, Georgia, March 14, 2011) ImagiCon, a three-day, full-scale Science Fiction and Fantasy convention, will host an informational Open House, on Saturday, April 2, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Columbus Public Library, meeting room Synovus CB and T, Side B. The library is located at: 3000 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31906. The Open House is for businesses, potential volunteers and anyone interested in discovering what ImagiCon will encompass. Light refreshments will be served.
    ImagiCon, to be held in Spring 2012, will be in its third year and looks forward to its move from Birmingham to fan-filled Columbus and surrounding Southeast regions. Continuing in successful fashion, ImagiCon will feature Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Anime/Manga, comics, literature, costuming, art and more!
    Businesses are encouraged to attend and will receive special information on sponsorship and advertising opportunities which will extend their customer base. ImagiCon prides itself with attendance numbers of more than 1500, over the three-day event, plus has extensive marketing prior to the convention, as well as web site and souvenir schedule book.

    With ImagiCon preparations underway, volunteers are being recruited to assist with various aspects of the upcoming event. If selected, volunteers can work in their areas of interest, will enjoy unique opportunities to meet event guests and receive additional convention-related benefits. Interested volunteers are invited to learn more about ImagiCon at the informational Open House.
