I almost posted "tailgating? Whats wrong with tailgating?", then remembered the other meaning

 

Tailgating can mean following to closely behind someone or the act of barbecuing from the back of your vehicle in the parking lot of a sports arena.

 

Yeah, and theres nothing wrong with eating by your vehicle before a football game (or other sport, but its predominantly football)

Tailgaters on the highway, however, are annoying. Plus they cause accidents.

 

I guess eating that kind of food all the time could be considered a bad habit.

 

No kidding they're dangerous! I freaking hate tailgaters. Just because I go the speed limit, especially when there's ice on the ground and freezing rain - but nooooooooo.

I am trying to figure out what it means to be the bad habit of texting.

 

Texting while walking and driving, presumably.

 

Constantly texting people - like all the time (not necesarily while driving, since that's dangerous, but even when you're out doing something else or with someone else).

 

I know what the habit is, I am just unable to understand the comparison. How is one "constant texting"? What is it that gives me the same attributes?

 

For me, it was just random. Sounded like a better bad habit than thumb-sucking

 

Constant texting = frequent posting in the minds of the readers, maybe?

 

I imagine that, for everyone, these are mostly random. It is just curious, and I was thinking about what it could mean.
