This is really the last thing one would expect. Who would have imagined that rather that in evaluating her high school friendship with the Last Son of Krypton, she would take away not Zack Snyder's very on-the-nose lessons about the dangers of presuming godhood but instead fall prey to such a dynamic herself.

I think we should also be considering the victims of crimes and natural disasters who may suffer while Clark is emotionally distracted by the crisis in the life of one of his personal friends. So sad.

I'm not even a fan of Smallville, just watched like 1 season? But this is really shocking. I am still recovering from it.

There should be strict laws against such cults after many many crimes.

I don't think Smallville was a cult , I mean sure it had some hardcore fans that'd defend it no matter how bad it got , but really it was just very mediocre .

I've always been kind of worried about Smallville to be honest. Small town, middle of nowhere. A lot of the media coming out of there seems pretty exaggerated and downright suspicious. Look at the contradictory reports about Jonathan Kent's death. We're told it was a "heart attack," but what about the reports of a large tornado in the area? To say nothing of that supposed sighting of him in the Himalayas.

And it seems like a school bus goes plummeting off somewhere about every other day. Could be negligence, but it's worth noting that a lot of those kids had just come out in favor of gun control. Now with this cult information leaking out, I'm very concerned about this extremist enclave cropping up. When Smallville hits the fan, it's going to be worse than Waco and Ruby Ridge combined.

 

Lois&Clark was my favorite Superman show and I don't like too much teen drama in a Superman series.

They said Lana's actor was in that cult as well, she said she didn't get into the inner circle and got out years ago, not sure what truly happened.
