I'd say the Galactic Empire, until I know more about the FO. I'd get chills seeing all the troopers lined up and Vader exiting his shuttle. Love it!!

Yes, definitely! It took a chapter or 2 to really get into it, but once I did I flew through. All the new things you learn in the book made me look at him in a new and interesting way... I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't understand the "not star wars-y" thing... I mean this is a SW movie, therefore IS Star Wars. The way I see it, whatever the reasons for needing these reshoots, as long as the end result is great, reshoot away!
