Imperial Gaurd Circulation

In the Thrawn Duology, there's an imperial Stormtrooper who was really an Imperial Gaurd. He says that the emporer circulated the IG's into the shocktroopers of his empire to keep them sharp.

Who was the bugger who said this again?

PS: just a note, I liked how Thrawn was able to tie up TTC with his duology... please don't expand on that topic.

Major Grodin Tierce.

And he wasn´t an imperial royal guard, but the clone of one, who died during the Thrawn campeign.

The Grodin Tierce from the HoT-Duology was created in a cloning-cylinder two months before the battle of Bilbringi.

 

An experimental clone to be exact.

He posesed Thrawns brains, and a guards spirit and fighting ability. The project failed.

 

Why? He was almost just like thrawn, except he didn't start a fleet. How did it fail?

 

He was the Phrototype, apparently the project ended with Thrawns death. So he didn't fail, the project did. Tierce However was esposed by Pellaeon years latter and killed by Shada D'kul.

I dont have VotF with me but I think either Shada or Pellaeon shot him.

 

The project didn´t died with Thrawn, Thrawn closed it, when it became clear, that the project was a failure. While the original goal was the creation of a new type of imperial leader, the result of the experiment was nothing more than a tactically brilliant stormtrooper, who was only obsessed with the destruction of the New Republic.

Tierce was wounded by the companian of the senior Mystrel and then killed by Shada Du´kal, when his identity and intentions were explained by Pellaeon.
