Palpatine almost sounds like he is laughing when he swings his saber. That or he's just yelling ferociously as he swings. AWESOME!

Palpatine screeches like one of the Nazgul.

 

It looks like Yoda took out two red guards, the first shot of him there is a tiny bit of red on the bottom left of the shot. The the second shot you can see on the right hand side of him that brilliant red they wear. Maybe Yoda didn't take them out, but someone did.

 

A couple of intersting points...

R2 is holding a Jedi Communicator.. WTF?

Also, I don't think "evil Anakin" is Anakin at all. It think it's Sideous in disguise. The cloak and eyes matchup with Sideous' from later in the trailer...

1. Padame looks **so much better** with her new hair style.

2. I love the look of inevitability on Mace's face. There's hate, disapointment in his eyes, yet his manner is completely calm. Poor Mace.

3. The CGI scenes look so much more real than before. It blows any one of TPM's backgrounds. Woa!

4. Padame looks **so much better** with her buns.

5. Musfatar looks like Corroscant from afar. Irony? Allusion? Subtle - not!

6. Palps...... trick or treat?

 

They DO switch switch saber's at some point in the duel!

I'm betting that when Obi-Wan takes hold of Anakin's blue saber is the moment he switches to his RED saber.

 

Don't worry about Anakin's yellow eyes, they just added that for the Trailer I'm sure. They just composited Darth Maul's eyes over Anakin's.

 

My God. That shot of Anakin choking Obi-Wan. Wow.

 

I think it's a great trailer and all, but it just looks unfinished to me. The CGI looks like its CGI, and not a seemless blend with the live action shots. I realize this is just the teaser trailer, but I just wasn't blown away too much. It started off great, but slowly degraded.

Pros:
-Seeing C-3PO and R2-D2 in the hallway of the Tantive IV!
-Chewbacca!
-That cool fire-engine ship!
-Anakin choking Obi-Wan!
-Classic triology dialogue and footage. I like how they brought it all together.

Cons:
-Yoda doesn't look finished. Did he lose weight?
-The CGI in the fight over Coruscant looks poor.
-The CGI in the Duel doesn't look to good either.
-What's with Vader's voice?
-That table he's on looks fake.
-NOT ENOUGH PADME!

Dude, I know its a teaser trailer, and the movie is like 200 days away, but I don't feel teased. I feel let down. I still think its a great trailer, I just think it could have been better. Along with the teaser poster.

I love them both, but they don't make me tight in the pants like I want them too.

 

I watched it frame by frame several times and I noticed a few things(I apologize if they've been spotted/posted already):

*First shot of Yoda in Palps' office when he opens his robe, there's a Royal Guard lying on the floor to his left.
*Second shot of yoda extending his saber to his front, there's another Royal Guard more clearly visible on the ground to his right. Also in this shot you can clearly see that this duel takes place in Palps' office or antechamber.....cool.
*You can see some new sort of walker and treaded vehicles(Dreadnaughts from the 'Art of Revenge'?) in the BG of the Wookie army shot.
*The duel is blue on blue for sure now.

....and I just love that shot of an unarmed Anakin/Vader grabbing Obi-Wan's saber arm and throat and forcing him over that ledge!! Go Vader!!

Edit: mike-cost beat me to the Royal guard thing.

in star wars magazine uk, it says that they had to make a pick-up of ewan handing r2 a communicator, so they can "chat" whilst inside the separatist cruiser.

this is brilliant.

you can see AT-AT-type walkers behind the standing wookiees, and on obi-wans ship you can see the buzzdroids.

i dont think that Sidious makes that screech, well it could be him making a very raspy laugh, but i think it is just the sound of the ships flying in the shot after.

also, the jedi fighters now sound like TIEs!

 

I wish Grievous was in there somewhere.

 

At 1.28 Obi wan has ANakins Lightsaber!

 

IS IT JUST ME...OR DID THEY TAKE IT DOWN. I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT ON THE SITE.

I'm with lavaman on Anakin's eyes. they're not like that in any other shot. The close up of him choking obi-Wan has his normal eyes.

 

DoOrDoNotNoTry, what was wrong with the battles? I thought they were at least as good as ROTJ. Sometimes, I think people see faulty, which really aren't there.

Um...why would Lucas do that if it's not gonna be in the movie? I can understand cutting a shot that was shown in the trailer, but sort of "deceiving" audiences into thinking a he'll have that in the final film when he won't? Don't agree with you.
