In-Jokes and Cameos in the Prequel Trilogy

Someone suggested this should be posted, so I figured I may as well do it - let's discuss any cameos or in-jokes within the PT.

I'll start off by asking if anyone has noticed the T-800 endoskeleton from The Terminator in Watto's Junk Yard?

 

Besides the more prominent cameos of Ahmed Best (Binks) and Anthony Daniels (3PO) in the AotC bar scene, if you have widescreen AotC, you can spot the Milennium Falcon leaving Tatooine as Padme's ship zooms towards it. I think it's on the left side...

 

It's actually not the Falcon, but rather a random YT class CEC freighter of the same model as the Falcon. It still counts as a cameo though.

 

I wanna see the terminator in TPM. got screen shot??

What?

 

During the Tusken slaughter sequence, when it cuts over to Yoda, you can hear Qui Gon yelling "Anakin...no!" and just a hint of Vader's breathing. That what he means by cameo.

One of the interesting ironies, of course, is that decades from now, people will think the OT has the in-jokes...

 

When Anakin wipes out the Sand people, you see Yoda meditating. You hear Qui-Gon go "Anakin, no wait" then you hear Vaders march, and the slightest bit of the breath mask. It is slight, but it is there.

 

Where did Vos make an appearance in TPM?

 

Well...there is a guy sitting at a cafe in Mos Espa with dreadlocks and a yellow stripe across his nose, who looks like Vos. I don't think he is actually Quinlan Vos, I think hes just the guy they based the character on.

 

Hey guys, don't forget E.T.'s family in the Senate in AOTC. I guess we all know now how E.T. got those bykes off the ground

 

The Enterprise in TPM

 

In the Audio Comentary on the AOTC DVD, I think it is Ben Burtt who says it, duriing the speeder chase sequence. Apparently there are three tie-fighters chasing an X-Wing. Although I have yet to see them.

About the Xizor thing, I think there was a pic on Hyperspace or something.

 

Don't forget one of those Pods from 2001 is on the right hand side behind QuiGon as they enter Watto's scrap yard in TPM.

 

Just remembered... Lucas said in the AOTC commentary that Jango Fett bangs his head, and the trait is cloned into all of the Storm Troopers...

 

Yeah I remember that.

 

Ok one more time does anyone know if Xizor was in the freaking movie or not ???????
