I'm really not into songfics but this was very sweet!

They were awake and content after their reunion and Luke's arms were still clasped around her. He always held her when they were in bed together. It was a natural thing for him to do and it ended up being a natural thing for her to get used to.
Awwww! I can imagine. Though it makes me remember first - and last - time I slept in hy husbands arms; I got so strained muscles I couldn't turn my head properly for a month - we're just not built to do that. So we hold hands instead. Ah, RL compromises But I know of a couple who actually hold each other almsot always - it's so sweet!

I just tend to ignore the song lyrics in songfics though. I don't know a lot of songs these days so they're fairly lost on me. The fic you wrote around the lyrics was beautiful and well written all on its own and didn't need the song there to break it up to try and emphasize it.

I love the choice Mara made in this and the fact that she's comfy in Luke's embrace. In my OTF, the pairing I love the mostest always also embraces in bed whether it leads to something or follows it or is quite just for the sake of the cuddle.
