Maybe in an ironic twist, Doctor Octopus goes out to dinner at a clandestine yet stylish restaurant to meet another villan in our story. At said restaurant, he orders "whatever's on special" which just happens to be......octopus.

Also it would be a hilarous homage to Raisers to have Indy come face to face with the evil Doctor and utter..."Octopus. Why'd it have to be Octopus?"

 

Wait! I have it! A musical!

Mick Jagger could indeed be kidnapped. He'd be playing a nightclub entertainer from whenever the film is set, you see. Indiana Jones would be forced to join a singing troupe heading into war torn . . . um, somewhere in order to rescue Jagger who possesses the only map that could lead him to the mysterious Adam's Rib, said to give anyone who posesses it the power to . . . um . . . do something.

Short Round would also join the troupe and Indy would be forced to strangle him to keep him from blowing his cover. The death scene would be, of course, set to music!

Wait, wait, I'm getting something . . . Of course, Adam's Rib!

A computer generated Spencer Tracy could appear as the mystical guardian of the Rib. Katherine Hepburn as the skeleton warrior queen who shoots fire balls from her nostrils.

Neither of them would sing, of course.

 

What would the mystical power of Adam's Rib be?

 

Uhh, judging by all the other IJ films, either eternal life or the ability for armies carrying it into battle to be undefeatable.

No no, Indiana Jones can't go to Mexico. He has to go somewhere with...sand. Somewhere known for having sand. Ah! I know... Pensacola, FL. Yes, and while he's there he runs into the mystical spirit of David Morse's character from Contact.
