San Fran, CA Indiana Jones and the ....

Shia Le Bouf annoys me too...if they were going to do right by the Indiana Jones series...

1. Lucasfilm would seek out and destroy every copy ever released onto tape or DVD of the young Indiana Jones series!!! For the love of God!!! Indiana met every single interesting/notorious historical figure of the 19th to 20th centuries...and still found time to fight in wars and study archaeology back home in Utah

2. bring back two enjoyable characters that were performed by good actors: Karen Allen as Marion and Sean Connery as Henry

3. not allow Cate Blanchette anywhere near the set...she is overrated in her acting abilities...

4. banish ALL notions of computer animated movie elements....special effects (instead of visual effects) worked perfectly in the trilogy (psh, I never knew those there GI Joes!)

5. get rid of Shia Le Bouf; the father finds son or vice versa story would be silly to repeat...it would be far better to show whatever became of Indy and Henry's relationship after they finally reconnected

 

...and they call ME a basher...

 

Whoa and I thought I was the only one that is totally irritated by Shia Le Bouf... I have no idea what it is either but yeah... Totally annoyed he's in Indy 4. How the hell did he ever become famous anyway?! He name sounds like something off a french menu, and thus gay...

 

Sean Connery did not want to come back. He said he is having too much fun being retired. But that was a great job that he did.

 

Yeah, I wish they could lure Connery out of retirement...

 

Oh I'd leave the man alone. He's done his bit for King and country and fanboys...

LaBoof, LaBiff, or whatever his name is isn't just annoying to me he is unremarkable and forgettable. He like Colin Farrel just seem to keep getting work.

 

Personally, I haven't seen his other films, so I can't lay judgment on him. But his last one did respectable box office, as well as reviews. I guess I'll make a decision for myself on Monday after Transformers.

As for Connery, if he's not part of the story, then why should he be in it? Or maybe his absence is part of the story....

Nope. Haven't seen either of those. As for his name, he was on with David Letterman last night and said he was named after his grandfather. Apparently, Shia means "gift from God", as does the name Matthew.

 

I WISH I'd never seen Constantine or I, Robot. When I was exposed to both movies it was my roommate that wanted to see them thus I was around at the time, and saw them. Both boring, lame movies.

It's spelled different in French. Boeuf is beef.

I've read that Jim Broadbent is appearing in the movie...he is a really good actor from what I've seen, but I hope he doesn't replace Marcus...

 

I don't think he'll be replacing the late Denholm Elliott, if that's what you mean. Marcus Brody isn't in this one, as is Sallah and Henry Sr., I believe. I'm glad to hear Marion is back, though!

I was just watching an A & E documentary about the Lost Ark, and it's interesting to see how Lucas pulled from what is actually known about the Ark's whereabouts and history, and added his own spin for the first film.

 

Marion is back!!!???? If Karen Allen is portraying her...YAY!
