I'll probably get there after 6 or 7 pm. There are lots of places to eat there in the food court, or at some other places nearby, like BJ's, Red Lobster, and Fresh Choice.

I'll believe it when it's official and in theaters (IF it happens, that is), but in the words of Public Enemy - Don't believe the hype! It's taken 19 years to get the new film made, and Lucas has been working on a project he's been wanting to do for a long time - Red Tails. He's also expressed doing more experimental films as well. Francis Ford Coppola even said that with George's success of Star Wars and Indy, the world in a way was denied the talents he has as a filmmmaker at making films that would probably go over the heads of most people.

Now onto more positive things - I finally finished The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones DVD's, including the one with Harrison Ford. I've always been a fan of 20th century history, and watching the series, along with their many documentaries, made me revisit some people and events that I studied, as well as some I didn't. It was really interesting to see how some events back then are so relevant now. I just hope some young people now can watch it and not repeat the mistakes that history has taught us.

I might see Indy at the Castro at a later date. I wish I'd known about it sooner. :( I saw Raiders of The Lost Ark there two years ago for it's 25th anniversary ans it was awesome! =D=

For those seeing the midnight show tomorrow, park at the parking structure by Sears, and try to park on the third level. There's a bridge to walk firectly to the box office. Anyone can call me after 6 pm when they get there so we can meet up.

I was entertained, no doubt. It was worth the ticket, but if I had to compare it to the other 3 Indy films I'd say this was the weakest :(

I think they should have left out the following scenes:

    -Mutt Tarzan (you Jane).
-Man eating ants (for some reason the man eating scarabs in the Mummy are much more believable. LOL!)
-Nuclear blast survival (Or as I think Dr. Jones pronounces it "Nucular").
-CGI monkeys, and making sure the audience sees that the one tossed from the car does survive. (Just a little too PC.)

At least I laughed a lot!

I liked the references to the past films AND the "Young Indy" references. :D

Still, Raiders will always be my second favorite film of all time. =D=

Yes, as I woke up this morning I thought "I should have posted what I did like." I haven't seen young Indy in recent years, but I'm guessing the reference to that was the story he told Mutt about one of his first adventures. Loved the nod to Star Wars too. Most of the chase scenes and stunts were really well done. The parts which had less obvious CGI were better in my opinion. (Once you get into Tarzan vine swinging land it just falls apart IMHO). Real stunts and real stunt men still look much more real than CGI can. All of the 50's references were done with great humor too. I know my dad will love the "Better Dead than Red" banner (My Dad used to joke around and say that to us all the time as kids). Also the "I like Ike" line (My dad had "I like Ike" bumper stickers and pins in his collection).
