    Indiana Jones - Expected January

  3. Shang Hi Chase (from The Temple of Doom opening)

  4. Fight on the Flying Wing (from Raiders of the Lost Ark)

  5. A further six standard release sets are expected in August, spread over all four films.

Just rumours, but sounds good to me...

I saw that earlier today and that's absolutely awesome. Granted, the ones we saw in the game aren't necessarily the same, but LEGO would have to sign off of that kind of stuff (at least I would think so). If they get them even remotely close to the designs in LEGO Indy, then these will be more great sets for the line. Fans have really been wanting a Flying Wing and pretty much anything from TOD.

Yeah, the designs are worked on with LEGO for the game, so I'm expecting the Flying Wing to be pretty similar, which is great.

Though I didn't like the Lao Che Air Freight Plane in the game at all, and Short Round's car could only fit one person, so hopefully they'll get a makeover if they're in the Temple Set mentioned above.

Pretty underwhelming. I was expecting a bunch of clear bricks to make a crystal skull like the ones spotted in a few LEGO shops.

Preliminary images have leaked for 2 2009 sets (shanghai chase and Flying Wing fight). The figures are very obviously using placeholder torso and head prints, which is common for LEGO dealer catalogue pages highlighting future sets.

Not really liking the 2-tone khaki paint job on the flying-wing.

I picked up the Shanghai Chase on Friday and I love it. A great set that made me excited for LEGOs in a way I haven't felt in ages. The only nitpick is the absences of Lao Che which is made quite obvious as a space was designed in the back of the black sedan for him to sit. I can only hope that there will be a second companion set featuring Lao Che and his airplane. Also the retail price of $29.99 is about 10 dollars to much.

The Flying Wing I passed on as it it ridiculously over priced at $49.99. Really? At the most this should be a 25 to 30 dollar set. I also don't like that the wing is one giant piece. It really dumbs down the set. I've seen fan made Flying Wings that are far superior. However if it eventually winds up on sale or marked down I would consider getting it.

I didn't even know they were still coming out with these. With the discontinuation of the action figure line, I thought this would be axed as well. It's good to see some Indy stuff still out there.

Don't really have the room right now to buy LEGO sets and set them up, but it's definitely tempting.

Well since Hasbro's Indy merchandise is on the way out LEGO is the only game in town. If their sales stay steady we may get a lot of the stuff Hasbro never got too. Already I have Club Obi-Wan Indy, Club Obi-Wan Willie, and two of Lao Che's thugs.

And there's more to come. The rumored/leaked sets for the summer wave are Ambush in Cairo (a small $10 set), Chauchilla Cemetary Battle, Venice Canal Chase, Fighter Plane Attack (LC), and The Temple of Doom (it will be the biggest set of the wave, likely in the $80-100 range). Hopefully fans will continue to support the line.

And the big rumor today was that the next LEGO video game will indeed be LEGO Indy 2, which will include levels from KOTCS.

    There are a bunch of preliminary box and set shots of the 2009 Indy sets here;

The Mine Cart chase looks amazing. Hope to be able to buy 2 or 3 sets and join them up. The Cairo swordman is OK, the aeroplane chase (last crusade) is OK, the KOCS graveyard is good and the Venice Boat Chase is too hard to see properly. Prelim shots, mostly with placeholder minifigs in many places.

The pricing is awful I agree, but I will be able to stretch as I've given up on all but Original Trilogy Star Wars LEGO sets (there are photos of the 2009 SW LEGO in the FLICK link above too - Endor & Hoth are tasty).

I saw the Shanghai Chase and Flying Wing sets today. Really quite fancy the former, mainly just for the Shorty and Willie figures!Birthday on Monday, any suggestions on how I can slip Indy Lego into an everyday conversation?

I agree the Flying Wing is somewhat overpriced, and I can't really bring myself to pay that much for the mechanic figure.

That Temple of Doom set does indeed look frakking awesome - I'm guessing that'll be around £60-£80. Ouch.
