Indiana Jones' son in Indy4?

I love Star Wars and Indiana Jones equally.
I heard that Steven Speilberg and Tom Cruise were working on Indy 4. I have the slight suspision that Tom Cruise might play Indy's son. Unfortunatly Harrison Ford is aging, but I think they should keep him Indy as long as possible.

If you have any thoughts, post 'em.

 

I haven't heard anything about his son in Indy4. But i heard a rumor somewhere (take this with a grain of salt) that Natalie Portman wanted to be Indy's daughter in the movie,but i don't know how true that is.

 

They could always bring Short Round back.

I just checked out the site The Indy Experience.com. and under Rumor cast: Ford debunked the rumors of Indy having a son.

What sort of things do you need updates on? Indy IV is coming out in 2005.

 

I'd much rather see Natalie Portman as his daughter, Indy needs a daughter not a son, it would ruin the whole image to have a son. It would be boring and possible rip off from the 3rd one. Having a daughter would be different for us, he might want her to be into the stuff he's into but she's all like "your job is so boring" and he could smirk and bring her along and she turns out to be a real daredevil.

 

Yeah I agree darkOmegazer0, that would be pretty cool if he had daughter.

Yeah I'd rather not have him have kids either but if it's a son or daughter I'd choose daughter, Natalie could play her. There's never bad acting in a Spielberg film.
