Well, seeing as how there have not been many responses to this and Friday is almost upon us, I will suggest that we just go for fun and not make this anything official.

I'm thinking we can leave Friday at 6pm?

We do, however, need to have a meeting soon. Let's start thinking about that.

I have a friend that may be able to go. I'll let her know, but 6pm sounds good.

Do the Daytona people want to meet somewhere on ER campus?

I am also working on getting a few other people to go.

We could meet at the library again. That worked pretty well last time- as long as people actually get there on time and ready to go (I think we ended up wasting almost an hour last time).

I would suggest that you eat before you come- that way there is one less thing to worry about.

Sound good? ERAU Library. 6pm. Be there. :)

Ok, so I was 2 minutes late. Geez, this isn't the Empire! :p

And I second the eating part. They're only open until 10pm so we won't have much climbing time but it should still be all good.

I'll be there with blasters on. :)

Hey all, I just remembered that the 1 man Trilogy is tomorrow. Was anyone up for this or do you still want to go climbing?

Wow, twice in one week! That was good fun :)

Here are some nifty quotes I've found online clickie

    This one is great
"Yoga is a system, scientifically proven to boost your climbing ability significantly. Why do you think you always see that Guru figure sitting on the top of the mountain? You think he/she got there by enlightenment ?" ? Lg.

I've seen this one in action on several occasions:
"Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible." --Doug Lawson

Hey, so when is the next expedition? My joints are just itching to do some impossible things again. :D

Hmmmmmmm, that's going to be tough working around everyone's schedules. I'm good for anytime after 1630 except Saturdays (Yes, I will make it to a Star Wars Weekends even if it kills me!)

Friday afternoons are always good for me (won't be going out of town again for about a month or so). Also there's a possibility that Sundays might open up for me temporarily . . . if so then that might be another option perhaps.

Since Kashyyyk is going to be in town and we a re planning on going climbing this upcoming Wednesday, why don't we make it an official meeting?

Can people make it for climbing and a meeting next Wednesday at 6pm?

I'll be needed in Circulation. Yeah, the only nights that I'm free are Fridays and Saturdays most of the time. Sometimes it's hard being a library god . . . :p

What, that it's tough being a library god? I'm telling you it is, man, everyone wants you for something. And people are always coming to you for The Answers, when sometimes they don't even know what The Question is:
    "Um, yeah, I need to find this book for my . . . class . . ."
"Okay, do you know the title?"
    "Not exactly . . . something about . . . stuff . . . it's for my class . . ."
"Do you know what it's about?"
    " . . . I guess maybe it's about this big . . ."
"I'm sorry, I meant, do you know the subject? Which class is it?"
    " . . . . the professor showed us a copy . . ."
"Ah, that helps, who is your professor?"
    " . . . um . . . [this is eight weeks into the semester by the way] . . . Professor . . . you know, that GUY . . ."
    "Glasses or no glasses?"
    "glasses . . ."
    "Left-handed or right-handed?"
    "ri . . . no, left"
    "Beard?"
    "No it wasn't Dr. Beard . . ."
"I mean does he have a beard?"
    "Oh, yeah."
"And the book is this big?"
    "Yeah . . ."
    "Blue?"
    "um, kind of purple . . ."
    "Is this it?"
    "Dude!"

Ah, but it's great for sharpening your mind-reading skills ;)

lol, at least you don't get the same kid coming back asking for a video that doesn't exist. Or those crazy pilots that don't know how to search the computer for the tape they want:

'Yo man, I need that video on airplanes'
    'Which one? Private, Commercial, Instrument...'
    'Um, Instrument I guess'
'Ok, what volume did you want?'
'V-vvvvvolume? You know, the one that tells me how to fly with the instruments, the one by King'
*looks over on the 4 bookshelves that house King videos*
'Lemme guess, you want the blue one, right?'
    'Yeah! That's it! Awesome!'
'Ok, well dude, we have about 25 King videos on instrument ratings, why don't you go out to the computer and search for the specific one'
    *blank look* 'commpppruter???'
'Ok, have you just started your course or are you going up for an exam?'
'I have to take my written tomorrow'
'Oh, well then, good to know I'm going to be in good hands when I fly'
    *big grin from the pilot*
'You'll want the end of course review'
*goes to get video and book*
'Aw man, I have to read too!? This sucks'
*closes window and goes back to playing Rebellion on my laptop*

And don't get me wrong, I know a lot of great Riddle pilots, but this actually happened. It's the pilots that act like this that scare me

Yeah, I have a great deal of respect for those who are seriously here to become great pilots, engineers, etc., and the majority that I've encountered are like this. You can tell they're exactly where they want to be, and it is good to know that someday soon they will be doing something they're really good at, and enjoying it at the same time. I don't worry too much about the few that haven't figured it out yet, because they'll either figure it out soon or decide to do something else . . . hopefully BEFORE someone gets hurt ;) At any rate, it's a powerful learning experience.

And now for something completely different:

I may have asked this before, but is the place we've been going to the closest indoor rockclimbing place to Daytona?

I believe so. There is an indoor rock column at UCF but from what I've seen it isn't too impressive.

I am also pretty sure that this is the closest that is cool. Everyone that I have talked to who climbs goes there.

It would be nice to have one closer, though.

Sorry dude, I don't know if we would be able to climb with anyone under 16 though. Sorry :(

You may want to head over to our website and read our rules and reg's to confirm that though :)
