    Mmmm.... Indy.

    :)

    It's great!

The films look gorgeous!!! The extras (particularly the feature length documentary which is really good whilst just stopping short of groundbreaking) are nice to have...

But (for me) it's all about having a wicked copy of the films themselves.

I've never seen Indy looking this good...

ok, only 11 more hours. My fiance and I took the day off. She hasnt seen them, but is a huge SW fan. I told her she will love them. We are cooking a turkey just for grins. Were making a day out of it.

How about a shout out to Indy today. A day long remembered, our jones for the adventures of Jones on DVD will be at last satisfied. Hard to believe the wait is finally over. :)

This is a moot point now anyway... but it was released on the 20th October in the UK... I think it might've been a day earlier that elsewhere... and since I'm in the UK, I bought it. :D

With box sets like this... I always watch the films or episodes (depending on what the box set is of) first and in order... and then I watch the extras. This is so that (even though I've seen something like Indy many times) I don't 're-spoil' any moments from the features that are used in the extras. So for me it was the films in order, and then what's on the bonus disc.

I've got to agree, the film quality is amazing. I took a brief tour of discs 1 and 4 this morning, but I'll watch Raiders in full this afternoon. Then when I have time I'll watch the other two. I haven't seen these films in so long.

So, are there any deleted scenes at all, or is it just the films with a few documentaries?

Supposedly my grandma picked up my copy for me from Best Buy this morning. They had 250 copies with a 5th disk with some making of Raiders stuff on it that I wanted to be sure I got. I should call her...

No deleted scenes and no commetary tracks, which is disappointing, but I'm just happy to have the films themselves on DVD. And I hate to sound like a broken record, but the picture quality is incredible.

Having just finished Raiders, I'm reminded of what an amazing film it is. Practically every scene is a classic. They really don't make movies like that anymore.
