I always like to say this. The Fox executives who canceled Firefly are "going to burn in a very special level of Hell. One they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater."

anakinfansince1983, you will understand this when you see the episode "Our Mrs. Reynolds."

 

On that episode: I liked Saffron the first time around, but I don't think she made a very good recurring villain. Her reappearance was one of the weaker episodes of the season, I think.

On the other hand, I liked Niska as a recurring villain. It's too bad he had to get away, obviously so he could be used in later seasons (unless he's in the movie).

 

I loved both of the YoSaffBridge episodes myself.

 

So, I finally finished the first season of House of Cards. VERY good and I cannot wait for more. I may go into withdrawals now, but I think I can cope with them.

Also- Firefly is overrated and boring. There. I said it.

Huh, I figured you would be a huge Firefly fan Nick. And I've never heard it called boring before...

Do you like any of Joss Whedon's other shows? I know some people have issues with his style and dialogue.

 

If I was in a critical mood, I could say that a lot of the Firefly dialogue is unrealistic in that everyone has something snippy to say and some of the fourth wall breaches feel out of place... but really, it's hard to be in a critical mood when you're watching Firefly. Just too much fun.

 

Nope, never cared much for his stuff, to be honest. I tried the Serenity movie and well and it wasn't my cup of tea. I especially disliked those reavers. Call me old fashioned, but folks that will eat you alive while having their way with you just doesn't sit well with me.
