Yeah, as the crawl indicates -- they told him to adlib a filibuster, and he totally did.

Just stumbled across this, someone was apparently nice enough to cut together most of the WC III and IV video scenes to make them movies, so people that did not bask in its glory back in the days can also enjoy WC IV.

PS: Yes that is Mark Hammil as a heroic fighter pilot :D

Is "creatures" too insensitive? We'll have to consult the Diversity Thread on this one.

"Creatures" implies a creator, I'll have none of that.

Speaking of cretins, I'm reading up on those dirty, sexy Pompeiians.

Are you sure you don't mean Pompeians? Because you know, those people advocating the restoration of the republic... totally sexy. :p

Anyway. Aren't most of the brothel things actually in Stabiae, not Pompeii? Was reading an interesting article the other day that suggested that most of the frescos were intended to depict comical things or things thought of as perversions, rather than things sane people would do.

    Umm...sure?

I was reading up on the Lupanar which I'm pretty sure is in Pompeii. A lot of what I was reading about was commenting on the shape of the rooms and how the desired purpose...well is obvious.

Is it sad to feel so great after accomplishing so little? Particularly when said accomplishment has absolutely no benefit?

In my case, it was recovering lost car keys. They had somehow fallen out of my pocket at some point today. Obviously, the normal course of action in tracking a lost item down is to retrace your steps... the problem with that is that I walked at least over a four mile distance today. That's a lot of ground to retrace. Plus, the whole "retracing your steps" crap never actually works for me.

But I finally bit the bullet and did it. After two and a half hours of searching through the grass in the freezing rain with almost no light, I finally found those damn car keys. Those are two and a half of the most wasted hours of my life (and this is coming from the guy who's starting a Jedi Prince reread), and all I did was recover something I shouldn't have lost in the first place, but I still feel like I could wrestle a hippo.

Well, now it's time to get back to the really important things in life. *goes off to read Jedi Prince*

Ulicus Who's the guy on the right?

Community was decent. Not great, but not horrible. There were some funny moments, mainly with Abed, but the characters feel more like their season 1 selves, Troy and Britta went from an interesting couple with good chemestry to what we have now, and they seem to be outright mocking Jeff/Annie fans at this point. Blah. Love the show and the characters, but at this point, let it fade away at the end of the season.

Did they really put "sexy" in the name of a costume based on a 14-year-old?
